The four door sedan model from the Volkswagen comes with slight modifications for the 2010 model year, while it comes with revamped exterior and interior styling.

The future model will be offered as both the four door sports wagon and as a four door sedan model.

Trims

The 2010 Volkswagen Jetta will be offered in two trim versions, the base model S and the high performance SE trim levels. Though the previous model offered SEL trim version, it is expected to be discontinued for 2010.

Engine & Power

The base model will be powered by a 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine that can produce power up to 170 hp. It will also be offered as TDI version that will be powered by a 2.0 liter four cylinder. The engines in the base model and in the SE model will be mated to a standard five-speed manual transmission, while the other engine will be paired to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Standard Features

The standard features to be equipped in the 2010 Volkswagen Jetta model include 18 inch wheels, interior trim, sunroof, panoramic sunroof, iPod adapter, sport suspension, and sports seats. The safety features that are expected to be provided in the model include rear side air bags, curtain side air bags, antiskid system, traction control, antilock braking system and front side air bags. The next generation Jetta model is expected to achieve the fuel economy of 22 and 30 mpg in the city and on the highway roads respectively.
