The BMW Z9 is equipped with a V8 turbo diesel engine, first of its kind in the world. It is a 3.9 liter model, which has direct injection and common rail unit.
The engine can produce power levels of up to 245 hp and torque of 413 lb ft. So as to give outstanding performance, the torque is maintained constantly between 1750 and 2500 rpm.

BMW Z9
Though the model was debuted as BMW Z9, the production model came with the name of 6 series. The new version, Gran Turismo concept car features short rear deck and long hood that have become characteristics of BMW sport coupe design. The dashboard equipped in the car is a large 8.8 inch screen, which displays all the info needed by the driver, apart from the conventional analog devices, tachometer and speedometer.
The Steptronic transmission mated to the engine can be operated by using buttons on the steering wheel and also the dash mountain lever can be used to drive or reverse the gears.
As far as the wheels of the car are concerned, it has 21 inch rear and 20 inch front large wheels. The model became M6 in production, though the car was shown as Z9 Gran Turismo concept car.
The Gran Turismo concept car, BMW Z9 has the wheel base of 2950 mm. The length, width and the height of the car are 4760 mm, 1970 mm and 1280 mm respectively.
